Offset option: Local Projects (State of Hawaii)
Select a local project if you want to support the transition towards renewable energy here in Hawai'i. This will make sure most of your contribution will go towards a small local project benefiting non-profit organizations, ecosystems and native species or low-income households while making sure your emissions are offset through a certified project.

Offset option: INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
Choose an international offset option to offset your emissions without supporting Hawai'i based local projects. Projects offered by CarbonBuddy are CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) and whenever possible also Gold Standard certified.
Main benefit of this project type: Use your offset to support projects in less developed countries and support their transition towards renewable energy to reduce inequality.
